Arts centre will reveal tenth theatre season

The Gram-O-Phonie brothers will perform their unique musical act at the launch of COPACC’S new subscription season on Saturday.

The launch of Colac’s theatre season will give guests a sneak peek into the city’s upcoming productions.

A cast of 25 performers will help Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre launch its 10th annual subscription season on Saturday night.

Australian actor David Tredinnick, who featured in the popular television series The Secret Life of Us, will be among the performers.

Tredinnick will speak to the audience about his role in Furiously Fertile, a romantic comedy which will play at COPACC this month.

The Colac Players will perform a preview of their musical production Robin Hood and the comedic Gram-O-Phonie Brothers will entertain guests in the foyer during the post-launch party.

COPACC manager Karen Patterson said the launch would also unveil details of the 22 other productions visiting Colac this year.

Ms Patterson said the new theatre season would follow the success of 2010.

“More than 10,750 people attended performances at COPACC last year and another 36,000 people attended business and community events at COPACC, and these figures don’t include the number of people who attended Colac Cinemas,” she said.

The launch is free and guests can contact COPACC to reserve their seat.
