ELLIMINYT White will enter its third consecutive Polwarth tennis grand final on the back of a dominant win over Kawarren Red.
The league powerhouse advanced to the biggest game of the year after a powerful eight-sets-to-one, 52-26, qualifying final victory over the previously undefeated Red.
The match went Elliminyt’s way from the opening 6-2 set between Elliminyt’s Khan Beckett and Brad Moloney and Kawarren’s Neville Towers and Tim Pekin.
Pekin and team-mate Travis Moloney scored Red’s only winning set for the day, leaving Towers to wonder how their team could improve.
“Elliminyt were way too strong, they’re really consistent and their youth showed, they had quicker reflexes,” he said.
“They were the side to beat all year and they still are.”
Kawarren Red will meet Pennyroyal in next weekend’s preliminary final, with Richelle Warton returning to strengthen the side.
