HA HA nice point about the Hugh Murray Reserve Ron. What exactly is that half finished thing there?

  2. Ron i agree but having dealt with Colac Shire Council for 6 years you will find no common sense, all i can say is move or you may get as stagnant as Lake Colac..

  3. How did the Council manage to buy it for $100000 less than what the building was advertised for? Then the next question is how can civic build their new store with jack all car parking and every other new business has to have some ridiculus amount of car parks?

This is a disgrace, where has the money come from for this? This will cost in excess of $3 million by the time it’s finished.
I feel councils are not in the real world, we would all love to have everything, but we must live within our means.
How about council finish some of the projects that have been on the books for 20 years (Hugh Murray Reserve ?) and several other public open space areas not completed.
What amazes me is that with all the government, taxpayer agencies none of these could clean up the lake foreshore during the drought so that those of us who stay here in the summer may enjoy a swim in the lake, as not all of us go to the seaside.
    Carpark! At what expense?
