  1. I have been driving the Colac – Lavers Hills road for 20 years as a visitor who loves the area. After the last major upgrade to the road approx. a year ago I couldn’t beleive the speed limit signs – most particularly at the southern end of this road. I found that they are just way too high and it is extremely dangerous to drive at the stated speeds – accept perhaps for the locals who might do the drive every other day. I’ve forever thought speed limits are always too conservative but this is one case where the limits should be toned down (at the southern end of the road).
