  1. Thanks Chris, I wish others would speak up also.
Ya right Emma. And even things like the council garden crew being funded more would make a difference by keeping the lawns mown and weeds sprayed. Who wants to move to a messy town? :-/

  2. How exactly does a logo attract people to a town?

Are people really that stupid as to make a judgement on a town or area based on a logo?

The community, the infrastructure, services available, jobs etc. These are thing that will appeal to people. Not a silly logo.

Such very very wise comments from Jo & Juggy. These comments appear to echo the community view. A local competition should have been run and the community should have been involved with the final decision. No amount of spin will convince the community otherwise. Facts are I moved at the council meeting that the community be given the opportunity to be involved. Unfortunately council denied the community their input.

OMG! What a laugh in todays paper. ‘Logo and tagline aside, the individuals which make up this community are the most powerful marketing tools we have’.
Well im sorry Mike, but if we “the community are the most powerful marketing tools we have” have not being used to further itself how can we be expected to be behind it???
Maybe only locals should have say in their town.

  5. I’m sure the community wouldn’t have objected to a competition for logo designs and tags and a community vote – a decent prize for the winning entry and a random prize for someone who voted and a huge saving for everyone.

Was good to see the councillors have a spat, means their human. LoL
But seriously, if they don’t want or value community input, they may aswell fly a communist flag out front of the office.
