  1. The photo does not show how bad the holes really are. Filling the holes and patching is not good enough. Most times the repair only lasts a couple of days before the holes reappear. The whole stretch of road needs to be ripped up and remade. I don’t care whether it is VicRoads or the Shire something needs to be done and quickly before there is a bad accident

  2. the shire blames vicroads as its their road. . but what I also find funny is when traveling that road its ok until you come across the welcome to the colac Otway shire. then a 100 mtrs in it goes to pieces. how is it we have the worst roads in the area, if the shire put manpower and resources into the roads they would be great.

I travel these roads frequently to Peterborough, and there are many buses taking overseas visitors from the Great Ocean Road to Colac and then Melbourne, they would certainly have a very rough trip home, not a good reminder of our beautiful country.

  4. Sadly all major roads around here are falling to pieces and have been for some time. Yet in that time, the local population and tourism have increased, plus the number of cyclists using these roads has been on the rise also… but still nothing!
Its getting to be more and more dangerous for all road users in and out of Colac, especially those on bikes even though they often fail to help themselves, but that’s another story.
Come on COS Council, hassle state and fed gov and show us ya care!
