POLICE attended two crashes on Colac district roads at the weekend including a car which flipped near Skenes Creek yesterday.

A motorist lost control of her vehicle on a wet section of the Forrest-Apollo Bay Road with her car ending up upside down on the roadside.

The driver escaped unhurt and a passing motorist assisted her after the crash.

Meanwhile, a car crashed off the Colac-Lavers Hill Road at Charleys Creek near Gellibrand on Saturday night.

The driver had no serious injuries and emergency crews removed the vehicle from the roadside yesterday.

Leading Senior Constable Peter Scanlon of Colac police said officers believed water on the road contributed to the crash at Skenes Creek.

The crashes add to three similar crashes last week on the Forrest-Apollo Bay Road.

Three cars crashed off the road in three separate incidents at Barramunga, south of Forrest.

A ute towing a trailer slid on black ice and crashed into an embankment at one of the crashes.
