Mayors join forces for train campaign

Moyne Shire mayor James Purcell, Surf Coast mayor Rose Hodge, Warrnambool mayor Michael Neoh, Colac Otway mayor Lyn Russell, Glenelg mayor John Northcott and Corangamite mayor Chris O’Connor want more trains between Melbourne and Warrnambool.

SIX MUNICIPALITIES, including Colac Otway Shire Council, have united to pressure the State Government to provide adequate public transport for south-west communities.

  1. So Mr Mulder wants to see more people using the train service before going further. Well, what a twit! Why would more people use it as is when it doesn’t run to their convenience? With more service offered more people would use it! Ya gotta spend money to make money…

  2. All that State Governments are ever focused on is Melbourne, you only have to look at all the news infrastructure that is either being planned or built for Melbourne If I had my way the State Governments would be gotten rid of once and for all

    If only Mr.Mulder was as concerned about making train travel more accessible for our community as he is about the so called business case!

  4. Come on people, we all need to get behind this push! So many complain Colac as a city is backwards, yet not many put their hand up to help push it forwards.
