A Chinese couple has realised their dream of staying in Colac after winning a battle to become permanent residents.
Colac Australian Lamb Company plant manager Mick Bird, left, and Corangamite MP Sarah Henderson, right, helped Colac’s Shengzing Huang and Sue Qiu celebrate news the couple have permanent residency status. Mr Huang and Ms Qiu have won a five-year battle to stay in Australia.
Sarah Henderson must learn that to be an effective local MP requires more than just getting your picture in the local paper.
