Yarn bomber spreads colour

Bike-bomb-1Forrest yarn bomber Moonstitch has taken knitting to a new level judging by the bike at a previously yarn-bombed bike rack in Colac.

The woolly display of public art is on the corner of Hesse and Bromfield streets and adds to the colour of Christmas decorations across Colac.

This week’s yarn bombing is the latest in a series of wool works appearing around Colac since July.

151208DM001The colourful creations appear around central Colac including near council offies, COPACC, Murray Street and Johnstone’s Lane.

Yarn bombing is also known as “graffiti knitting” and involves artists who knit together artworks and place them in public places inconspicuously.

Photos on Moonstitch’s Facebook page show the artist has also yarn bombed street signs at Forrest.
