Apollo Bay will host a Bryan Noseda Celebration Day to coincide with the 20-year reunion of the Hawks’ memorable senior football premiership against coastal rival Lorne.

Noseda, who tragically died last month in a work accident, was the Bay’s games record holder, donning the brown and gold stripes on more than 500 occasions.

President Michael Harrison said he expected another big day at the club when the Hawks tackled the Dolphins on June 18.

Harrison, a former teammate and close friend of Noseda, said the coastal community was still coming to terms with his death.

But he said the Hawks were eager to celebrate Noseda, a reserves’ premiership coach, player and committed volunteer at the club.
