Colac district netballer Billy Mahoney has helped the Australian Sonix 23-and-under men’s netball team claim victory in a Trans Trasman championship.

Mahoney spent a week in New Zealand playing in the international netball series at the Te Rauparaha Arena competing for the prized silverware.

Three Australian Men’s and Mixed Netball Association teams represented Australia in the international series.

Mahoney’s mother Jenny Robbins said he had a successful week in New Zealand winning the series five to nil.

“Billy did say they were hard games but they won them pretty easily,” she said.
