Colac District Cricket Association’s senior development side will play in a grand final today following an undefeated run at Bendigo Country Week.
The team will take on Wangaratta, who it beat on day one, in the decider.
The CDCA squad claimed a fourth-straight win after beating a Wimmera-Mallee team by 62 runs yesterday.
The Colac team blasted 243 runs before bowling its opposition out for 181.
Colac teenager Cullan Spence, 63 runs, led the way with the bat, with support from team captain Dylan Flanigan, 48, and Colac West’s Clay Mulgrew, 43.
West’s Deakin Carmichael and Stoneyford’s James Menzies and Jesse Williamson took took two wickets each.
The CDCA squad has a handful of adult senior players in its team, with the rest of the side made up of the best teenagers in the CDCA.
Flanigan said the whole team was excited at the prospect of playing finals.
“Where the team came from last year, they were one loss and three wins, it’s interesting to see how we keep going,” he said before yesterday’s clash.
“Everyone is eyeing off another game on Friday.”
