Motorbike burglary devastates owner

Colac’s Zack Rogerson is hopeful thieves will return his missing Kawasaki motorbike.

A Colac man says he is devastated thieves broke into his Colac home and stole his motorbike and riding gear.

Zack Rogerson, who was not at his home when the incident occurred, said he received a call from his parents about 4am on Thursday alerting him to the theft.

Mr Rogerson said thieves took his Kawasaki KX250F motorbike, two helmets, riding boots and an iPod, which was worth more than $8500 combined.

He said more things could be missing because he hadn’t been home to assess the extent of the thefts.

“I was pretty devastated,” he said of the theft of his motorbike.

“I was entered to race at Warrnambool this weekend.

“I didn’t really expect it at all, I lock everything up all the time but they still keep getting into your stuff.”

Mr Rogerson said offenders “kicked in the back door” and took the shed keys from inside his home, which he said were still missing and that he believed there would have been more than one person involved in the theft.

“The bike had no back wheel in it, it’s up at Wadey’s getting a tube replaced,” he said.
