A hat-trick to Stoneyford young gun Jesse Williamson was the highlight in the Colac District Cricket Association’s representative loss yesterday.
The CDCA fell 127 runs short in its run chase against Bellarine Peninsula Cricket Association’s total of 263 at Barwon Heads yesterday afternoon.
The Colac league had five wicket takers, with Williamson the star of the show.
“He finished with five wickets including a hat-trick,” Colac selector Rob Oborne said.
“It was pretty exciting, he got the hat-trick towards the end of the innings, he also got two wickets with the last two balls on Saturday, and got a wicket with the first ball on Sunday,” he said.
The BPCA bowled the CDCA out for 136 in reply, with Alvie’s Liam McGuane top scoring with 47 runs.
