Colac Otway Shire Council is pushing for a government commitment to upgrade Colac Area Health’s urgent care centre to an emergency department.
Colac Area Health chief Geoff Iles says the hospital is “fortunate” Colac Otway Shire Council is lobbying to upgrade Colac’s urgent care centre to an emergency department. The council has listed the upgrade among priorities for the upcoming federal election.
