Birregurra football officials say they are rapt to have star midfielder Michael Bolitho return to the club despite work commitments restricting him from a full season.
The two-time Colac district league premiership player, who finished runner-up in the league’s Jack Mahoney Medal vote count twice, is set to return to the Saints after playing a limited role in the Colac Tigers’ reserves side last year.
Birregurra lodged a clearance for the Melbourne-based architect this week.
“He’ll be a very handy inclusion and we’re excited to have him back,” Saints president Mick Paddick said.
“His work commitments will be the only thing that will hold him back from playing the whole season, but he’ll play the practice matches then look at his roster and we’ll work out when he’ll be available for us,” he said.
