Northern Blues VFL officials say Colac football export Jarrod Walters has well and truly earned his spot on the Blues’ list this season, and could get his first taste of VFL football tomorrow.

The Blues, who have signed the former Colac Tigers and Geelong Falcons footballer for the 2019 season, will take on Port Melbourne in a practice match at Ikon Park.

The VFL clash at 4pm will act as a curtain raiser for a JLT Community Series clash between Essendon and the Blues’ AFL affiliate Carlton.

Northern Blues general manager Ben Brennan said Walters, 19, had impressed coach and former AFL footballer Josh Fraser during his scintillating pre-season.
