A Colac school principal is questioning why the city no longer has an outdoor pool, and wants one to become a priority for civic leaders.

Sacred Heart Primary School principal Jack Lenaghan, pictured, wants Colac to have an outdoor swimming pool. Colac Otway Shire mayor Jason Schram said he wanted the council to do a business case of the proposal.

I have been saying this for years, replacing the big pool which used to be across the road from the old Tech school with one nearly the quarter the size was ridiculous, the pool we have now is too small, too shallow and the water is too WARM, it’s great for swimming in the colder months though but not so good in summer.
