Officials have increased the number of junior interleague teams from three to five this year, adding extra 13 and 15-and-under sides to compete in a Barwon Junior Netball Championship on May 12.

AFL Barwon has also released its squad for the tournament and June’s Association Championships, with seven Colac Tigers earning spots in 15 and 17-and-under sides.

Junior official Tracey Tann said the Colac district league’s junior teams had prepared for their representative campaigns in the Colac Summer Netball Association.

Tann said the squads would go through their final preparations under senior Colac district coaches in a new initiative in 2019.
