Former Port Fairy grand final footballer Jake Hetherington is among Lorne’s latest key signings on the eve of its Colac district footballer season opener.

The 23-year-old, known for his speed and ball-winning ability, has joined his former Seagulls teammate and new Dolphins coach Jack Hollmer at Lorne, while Pahan Galappathie has crossed from VAFA club Richmond Central.

Hollmer confirmed that Hetherington, who has 62 senior games with Port Fairy including the 2017 grand final loss to Koroit, would debut against the Western Eagles tomorrow.

Hetherington also had a stint at Geelong league club Bell Park.
