Perfect start for young Cat in MVP race

A third-straight best-on-ground performance has thrust Colac Imperials young gun Bailey Scott into the lead of the Colac Herald’s MVP race.

Bailey Scott.

Scott scored the maximum three votes from opposition coaches for the third time in the Imps’ Cat-or-Roo Cup loss to South Colac on Saturday.

He sits on top of the leaderboard heading into the Easter break with nine votes, ahead of Irrewarra-Beeac co-coach Cam Parker, eight, returned Simpson jet Brock Neal, six, and Apollo Bay coach Brent Macleod and Otway Districts teenager Jim Abraham, five.

There is a three-way tie at the top of the netball leaderboard, with Alvie recruit Chelsea Hillman, Irrewarra-Beeac young gun Rachael Seabright and Otway Districts coach Candi Robbins leading the way.
