Another medal for decorated Simpson star

Decorated Simpson netballer Amy Pemberton added another medal to her trophy cabinet.

Amy Pemberton’s status in Colac district netball has reached new heights following a best-on-court display in interleague.

The Simpson star’s latest honour sits alongside a league best-and-fairest in 2017 and a premiership medal for the Tigers last year.

Pemberton, now in her fourth season at Simpson after crossing from Hampden league club Camperdown, said she was eager to play representative netball for the time at senior level this year after she was unavailable in 2018.

The midcourter controlled play for the Colac district during her interleague debut on Saturday, winning plaudits from umpires in the visiting CDFNL’s convincing 49-37 victory.

Pemberton was one of three Tigers in the side, sharing the win with teammates Paige Salmon and Emily Duynhoven, and her coach at Simpson Pat Duynhoven, who led the team.
