Teens challenge senior group

Alvie’s Dallas Williamson will captain the senior interleague side.

Representative coach Pat Duynhoven says he put his senior group through its paces against the Colac district’s best crop of 17-and-under netballers in preparation for tomorrow’s interleague clash.

The CDFNL Open squad was looking set to enter the match with no changes for tomorrow’s away match against the Maryborough Castlemaine league after their final training session last night.

Officials announced star Alvie defender Dallas Williamson would captain the side, which features six debutantes at senior representative level.

Simpson premiership mentor Duynhoven, who is also gearing up for his first coaching appearance at interleague level, said putting the players together in match simulation was a good way for the new-look team to gel.

The senior squad took on the 17-and-under side, which boasts young guns Rosie Barrow and Brooke Hawkins who will feature in both line-ups tomorrow.
