A key Irrewarra-Beeac footballer faced potentially career-ending surgery yesterday following the Bombers’ win against the Western Eagles.
Irrewarra-Beeac, which lost skipper Dylan Flanigan to a season-ending ruptured ACL last week, copped another injury blow in Saturday’s 10.15 (75) to 4.13 (37) win against the Eagles, with veteran forward Nathan Harty suffering a serious knee injury.
The senior premiership player was one of two Bombers facing surgery in Geelong yesterday, after Scott Lyness broke his jaw in the reserves.

“Nathan Harty split the patella in his knee in the first quarter, so he’s having surgery on that today.
