Cunnington to celebrate 200 games

One of the Colac district’s most successful AFL exports will celebrate his 200th game this afternoon.

Ben Cunnington.

Cobden export Ben Cunnington will celebrate the major milestone when North Melbourne hosts Greater Western Sydney at Tasmania’s Blundstone Arena.

The hard-nut midfielder is enjoying one of his best seasons to date, ranking third in the standings for the AFL coaches’ award on 56 votes, behind leader Tim Kelly of Geelong, 69, and Carlton’s Patrick Cripps, 62.

The Roos selected Cunnington with pick number five in the 2009 AFL draft, and he won the club’s Syd Barker Medal for best-and-fairest player in 2014.
