Walkers boost multiple sclerosis fund

Beeac sisters Rachel and Casey Parsons walked 150 kilometres during May to raise money and awareness about multiple sclerosis. They raised almost $900 for MS research.

A Beeac family’s desire to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis has raised almost $900 for MS research.

Sisters Rachel and Casey Parsons and Rachel’s partner Brady Boyd tasked themselves with walking 150 kilometres between them during May for Research MS Australia’s May 50K challenge.

Casey said her and Rachel’s mum Joy had lived with multiple sclerosis for about 20 years.

Casey said the trio were “chuffed” with the support of their family, friends and the Colac and district community during May.

“We hit the 150 kilometres about a week or two before the end of the month,” she said.
