Colac children will relish the opportunity to use Wydinia Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre’s new playground.

Rain didn’t get in the way of play time as the kids enjoyed their new play space at the official opening last week.

Western Victoria MP Gayle Tierney officially opened the new playground, alongside Colac Otway Shire councillors, Barwon Child, Youth and Family representatives, playground builders and landscapers, and Wydinia committee members, parents and children.

A State Government grant funded the new interactive play space with $160,504 through the Inclusive Kindergartens Facilities Program.

Ms Tierney said the new state-of-the-art play space was amazing and the State Government was pleased with the facilities.

“It’s been a long time coming. It is a job that has been well planned and executed,” she said.

Ms Tierney also thanked Colac tradespeople who gave up their time to produce the modern playground.

Colac Otway Shire mayor Jason Schram thanked the State Government for its funding.
