Tornado-hit park is bouncing back

Lake Purrumbete Holiday Park’s John Clements says four cabins at the park are back in business, with plenty more under construction following a devastating storm in May.

A landmark fish stocking at Lake Purrumbete is just one reason John Clements is smiling.

The sound of hammers, saws and drills is also a sign that the rebuild at Lake Purrumbete Holiday Park is well underway, as construction crews work to restore and replace cabins, following a destructive storm that lashed the park in May.

Mr Clements, the park’s owner, said four cabins had been rebuilt so far, and power was restored to three quarters of the holiday park, with most insurance issues dealt with.
