Scout’s eye-opening adventure

Colac’s Teá Rabbette has returned home from the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia.

Colac’s Teá Rabbette has returned home from a “once in a lifetime opportunity” at the World Scout Jamboree.

The Year 10 Trinity College student travelled to America for the West Virginian Jamboree alongside 688 Australian Scouts, with 47,000 Scouts from across the world in attendance.

Teá said the Jamboree was all about getting to know other Scouts.

“The slogan for the Jamboree was Unlock New World so it was kind of just discovering yourself, others and everything that’s exciting with different countries and it brings a lot of people closer together,” she said.

“We went on a pre-tour to Washington DC, so we saw all the main attractions there and on one of the nights we were shipped off to Baltimore to watch a baseball game.
