A star South Colac footballer is set to face a Colac district tribunal tonight following an incident in the Roos’ qualifying final win against Birregurra.
AFL Barwon confirmed South Colac’s Jake O’Dwyer would face the tribunal following the Saints’ request for an investigation into the incident that reportedly left Birregurra’s Cam White with concussion and stitches to his lip.
The Roos have at least two, possibly three, games remaining in finals, meaning a lengthy suspension could end his finals prematurely.
South Colac coach Josh Black said first-year Roo Joe Alexander, who missed last week’s clash with an ankle injury, was in the selection mix to return for Saturday’s second semi-final against Lorne, with a spot in the grand final up for grabs.
Four Dolphins are likely to return for the minor premiers after missing Lorne’s final-round clash a fortnight ago.
