AFL returning to Colac!

Colac is set to host an AFL pre-season game for the second time in three years.

The AFL today released its fixture for the 2020 Marsh AFL Community Series, formerly the JLT Community Series, with Colac’s Central Reserve to host another match between Geelong and Essendon on Monday, March 9; the Labour Day public holiday.

Colac attracted a crowd of 9115 for a pre-season clash between the Cats and Bombers on March 11, 2018; the biggest crowd of the series.

The game, which will kick off the 2020 Powercor Country Festival, will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and through the AFL App.

    Two years ago my family attended the last game between Geelong andEssendon and some of us sufered sunstoke and others badly sunburned due to lack of shade, particularly the elderley
    had no shade to go too One of my family asked if we could sit in the empty Grandstand, but told that’s for A.F.L officials , and that was befor the senior game started, At 3/4 time we could still see this Grandstand empty. Would apreciate if more seats and shade could be provided folr the People who travel some distance to the game.. David. J. Lynch J.P.
