Eye-catching footballer Paddy Ryan has returned to Otway Districts in a boost for the club after the Demons lost one of their main avenues to goal.
Ryan, who spent 2019 at Birregurra, is crossing back to the Gellibrand-based club with former Irrewarra-Beeac footballer Luke Garner.
Their arrival is timely after new co-coach Ben Allan said small forward Eugene Stanciu confirmed he was joining Geelong West in the Geelong district league next year.
Stanciu, booted 60 goals for the Demons across 45 games, and is one of two departures after Lachie Buyel signed with GDFL outfit Inverleigh.
Buyel featured in 15 senior games for the Demons in 2017, but had a limited role over the past two seasons due to injury.
Allan said Otway was thrilled to welcome back Ryan, who played 52 senior games with the club across four seasons and is a close mate of Allan’s coaching sidekick Alex Burnett.
