Colac Tigers star Georgie Finn says she plans to remain part of the club’s netball program in 2020, despite preparing for a move to Queensland next year.

The 22-year-old co-coached the Tigers in 2019, helping the club return to finals for the first time since 2016 in A Grade netball alongside Steve Lawrence.

Finn has become an integral part of Colac’s A Grade squad since making her debut as a teenager, while she is also a key member of the Geelong Cougars’ Division One side in the Victorian Netball League.

But Finn will step down from her mentoring role at the Tigers after she earned a chance to study physiotherapy at the Gold Coast’s Bond University.

The versatile netballer said she planned to play at least the opening rounds of the season for both the Tigers and Cougars next year, with her two-year course starting in May.
