Alvie midfielder Louis Robertson is set to return to Hampden league club Cobden in 2020.
Robertson was among five Cobden footballers who crossed to the Swans this year including new coach Joe Dare, his brothers Lincoln and Dom, and assistant coach Angus Uwland.
Robertson was a vital cog in Alvie’s engine room, ranking among the Swans’ best players seven times in his 17 games.
But Uwland confirmed that Robertson was likely to return to his family club Cobden.
“Louis is our only out so far and he’s heading back to Cobden,” he said.
“I had a feeling towards the end of the year that he might be looking to go back; he lives in Cobden and his family is there.”
Robertson isn’t the only Colac district footballer returning to the Hampden league Bombers, with young Simpson tall Michael Koroneos also on the move.
Koroneos played four senior games with Simpson this year while still eligible to play with the Tigers’ under-18 team.
He kicked 48 goals for the Tigers’ juniors this year.
Uwland said Robertson would be a loss for Alvie, both on and off the field.
“He was nice and strong for us this year, and he was a really good person to have around the club as well,” he said.
