Stoneyford captain Dom Dare has fallen agonisingly short of his second ton in less than two weeks, but has secured his team a spot in this weekend’s Twenty20 finals.
Dare blasted 97 runs from 45 balls, including 14 fours and two sixes, to help the Maroon Caps reach a score of 6-222 in last night’s KFC T20 Big Bash victory against Colac.
The win rocketed Stoneyford to top spot in Pool A, booking it a spot in Sunday’s semi-final against the winner of tonight’s Alvie-Warrion clash.
City United, which finished top in Pool B, will face Colac in the other semi-final..
Both semi-finals are at Colac’s Lake Oval on Sunday morning, with the winners to meet in the decider at the same venue at 4pm.
See Friday’s Colac Herald for more on this week’s matches.
