The Geelong Falcons have named seven Colac Imperials in their final squad for the 2020 NAB League Girls competition, announced today.
The Falcons named AFL Women’s prospect Darcy Moloney as captain of the team.
She is joined in the squad by fellow Imps Taylah Hassett, Gabbi and Mia Featherston, Keeley Hardingham, Jess Woods and Charlotte Hardy.
Imps girls’ football official Tim Hassett said the selection was a great reward for the club.
“It’s good that we’re starting to see the numbers going up and more of our girls are getting opportunities at that level,” he said.
“It gives the girls coming through in the under-15s something to strive for as well.
“It’s just a good reward for their effort.”
