Australian cricket captain signs with Colac club

Colac cricket export Aaron Finch has joined the local golf club and will play in Saturday's competition.

Australian limited overs cricket captain Aaron Finch is set to become the face of the Colac Golf Club and will tee off alongside its members during competition on Saturday.

Colac golf president Murray McCoombe revealed Finch has joined the club and will return to Colac tomorrow to play alongside fellow Colac cricket export Liam Buchanan and ex-Australian cricketer Andrew McDonald.

McCoombe, who was Finch’s principal at Colac South West Primary School, said local golfers were buzzing after the announcement and the club was eager to make the international cricket star an ambassador for the sport in the district.

“Aaron is going to take out a membership and we’ll make him our number one ticket holder,” he said.
