COVID case linked to Beeac Primary School

Beeac Primary School is closed to all staff and students after a school community member tested positive for COVID-19.

The school confirmed the case in a statement to families today.

The school is temporarily closed until DHHS advises that it can re-open.

All Victorian schools are due to return to remote learning from tomorrow, meaning only the children of essential service workers can attend campuses in person.

Dear parents, carers and students,

Our school has been advised of a reported case of coronavirus (COVID-19).

This case has been reported to the Department of Education and Training (DET), and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is currently undertaking further investigation.

As a precautionary measure, Beeac Primary School will be closed for 24 hours initially, or until we receive advice it can re-open. The school will be closed to all students, staff and members of the community.

All students are asked to stay at home until further advice is provided.

We will provide further information following confirmation of advice from DHHS.
