No new COVID in shire, four recoveries

There are no new COVID cases in Colac Otway and the shire has recorded four recoveries.

Health authorities reported there were 16 active cases within Colac Otway today, down from 20 yesterday.

The shire’s total case count remains at 136.

Two of the recoveries are linked to Bulla Dairy Foods in Colac, and two are linked to Wydinia Kindergarten. The case numbers include close contacts and aren’t all employees of those sites.

There are eight active cases linked to Bulla out of 20 total and six active cases linked to Wydinia, out of 16.

Victoria recorded 28 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday, with 947 active cases.

Thirty-three cases are active in regional areas.

There have been eight new deaths from COVID-19 reported since yesterday.

Greater Geelong has three active cases, Greater Bendigo has one active case and Ballarat has no active cases.

Warrnambool has fallen to zero active cases, and there are zero cases in Corangamite, Surf Coast and Golden Plains.
