For almost 80 years, a razor sat in Sub Lieutenant James “Jim” Paizis’s bathroom cabinet at eye level as a daily reminder of service, mateship and sacrifice.
Razor evokes powerful story
ARTEFACT: Able Steward Percy Shute gave this razor to Sub Lieutenant James “Jim” Paizis, pictured right, aboard HMAS Colac during The Second World War the day before Percy was killed in action. Jim kept it until his death this year and the Colac RSL will now proudly display it.
