Emergency service crews are currently still on scene after a blue Hyundai hatch collided head on into a minibus just before 12pm today.

The male driver of the Hyundai suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while his female occupant suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the male driver of the minibus and his eight passengers also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed a specialist air Ambulance Victoria helicopter crew landed and seven advanced life support paramedic and ambulance community support crews were on site, working with emergency service partners to assess 11 patients.

Officials said all were currently being treated at the scene at this stage before being transported to hospital.

The Great Ocean Road is currently closed in both directions between Colac Lavers Hill Road and Fords Road.

VicTraffic advised drivers travelling between the Surf Coast and Port Campbell or Warrnambool to take an inland detour via the Princes Highway through Colac.

Investigations into the crash remain ongoing.
