District youth feel isolation after media ban

Colac and district students say they are feeling more disconnected from their peers since the introduction of an under-16 social media ban six months ago.

SOCIAL MEDIA BAN: Year Eight Trinity College Students Jemma Howat and Ursula Hall, both aged 13, were banned from creating and using social media accounts in December. New legislation will be brought in to double down on social media platforms not doing enough.
