Colac Highway Patrol officers are continuing to investigate a fatal collision that claimed the lives of two people at Weering this month.
Emergency services were called to reports a Ford Falcon and a Toyota Prado collided head-on near the intersection of Colac-Ballarat and Barpinba roads about 5.15pm on Wednesday, July 1.
The driver of the Ford, a 57-year-old Redan man and the driver of the Prado, a 52-year-old Colac district woman, died at the scene. Victoria Police previously identified the woman as a 70-year-old from Beeac but this was incorrect and has been updated.
Both drivers were the sole occupants of the vehicles at the time of the collision.
Just prior to the collision, investigators believe a second vehicle was forced off the road by the Ford Falcon.

Where To BuyThis vehicle, believed to be a light-coloured Mazda CX3, was seen on dashcam footage as it was forced onto the side of the road.

Investigators are keen to speak to the driver of the Mazda and have released an image of the vehicle in the hopes that the driver will come forward.
