Search for missing Colac man comes to sad end

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a body believed to be missing Colac man Matthew Hibbard was found west of Melbourne.

A statement from Victoria Police said the body of a man was located at Ravenhall today.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious,” a spokesperson said.

“While the body is yet to be formally identified, is it believed to be that of missing man Matthew.”

Matthew was last seen at the Footscray Railway Station on June 3 about 3.30pm and the family issued a heartfelt plea calling for any information about his disappearance last week.
