Colac Kana Festival organisers have praised the community for its support following the long-running event’s first turn at a new home.

Kana committee president Brayden Smith said officials estimated about 5000 people turned out to the Colac Showgrounds across the festival on Saturday.

The club opened its latest grant round this month.

Meriba president Robyn Alexander said the small grants program began in 2014.
