After another rate rise where do these people intend to get the money for this, another rate rise or a drop in services elsewere? They are doing studies into a bypass, a theme for the town and puplic open space, they have 9 blocks set aside for playgrounds but dont have the funds to develop them. Some they have had for over 20 years. How about they learn to live within their means the same as everyone has to. We have a council with champagne tastes and gingerale pockets. Let it be sold to the private sector if they have 1 million dollars. Build a multistorey on johnsons carpark.

    Hello,
I don’t normally put pen to paper.
Re: The Home hardware car park.
I think the building would be better left for a new business venture.
Maybe council could entice a new business here with no rate charges for 12 months or more.
A new business means new jobs.
Would council take over the lease on the lane way at the back of the building?

We have the best position for a car park in our memorial square.
Rip out some (They are nearly all rotten) trees fence off our beautiful shrine and we have the best centrally located car park available.
The shrine could have gated access with a key available from the RSL for those that wish to have a closer look. A small deposit would insure the keys safe return. This would also stop the senseless vandalism.
Even if it was done to only half,(Melbourne side of the square) it would be an outstanding improvement.
