A popular Colac couple are one step closer to being allowed to stay in the community, with a federal court ordering a review of their temporary work visa applications.

Mango and Pam of Colac’s Mango Thai restaurant have been locked in an immigration battle for years after their initial request for temporary work visas was refused.

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia released its decision on Thursday, determining that a “jurisdictional error” had occurred during the previous decision handed down on February 6, 2020, by an appeals tribunal.
