CIVIC leaders say Colac won’t be able to absorb 130 job losses after the closure of Fonterra’s Cororooke cheese factory.

New Zealand dairy company Fonterra will close its factory at Cororooke, north-west of Colac, mid next year. The company says it’s not “commercially viable” to upgrade the site and keep it open.
