I travel along that stretch of highway twice day. It is a horror corner especially in foggy conditions. I think a very large round-a-bout should be installed to slow the traffic.
The near miss figures for that intersection would be massive. I’ve had three near misses where i’ve seen the vehicles on tomahawk not slowing down and i’ve braked to avoid them. That works if you are coming from Colac but the visibility from Camperdown doesn’t allow you to do that. The road needs a realignment, similar to what was done at the Birregurra turnoff. We can start by putting huge signs on tomahawk to remind the tourists (and it is almost always tourists) that they actually have to stop!
